My Story and Mission

I was the second child of four in a military family.  I learned at a very young age that one can get caught up in the simple beauty that this earth offers and on the opposite side be taken back from the challenges of life.  An awkward and shy girl; I loved anything that had to do with art and nature. We moved a lot growing up and though it was nice to reinvent myself with every move, it also was tiring of not having a home with permanent roots.    

As a natural peace-maker/supporter and someone with a Vata Dosha, I am often swept away with many ideas, hobbies and desires.  The need to be grounded always was something I sought after because of the tendency to overstimulate and overburden my system (stressful jobs, overachieving, food, toxic situations, etc).  As an empath, it was hard to shield myself from others’ energy.  All these things led to imbalance in my body and health. I became sick for many years on and off but mostly feeling off and struggling for more than 15 years with my health.

I learned to understand my habits and patterns and realized that my body is my first home. As a dedicated meditator for over 25 years I began learning about mindfulness and yoga during the roughest time in my health journey. This is when everything started to click and I felt as if I was reawakened and gifted with tools to help myself. After training in mindfulness and yoga I wanted to help others find this same space within.  

I am a faithful student of life which led me to learning other modalities for healing and rebalancing the body through sound healing, reiki, holistic nutrition and TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine) dietary and Ayurvedic practices. All these things my body craved and needed to heal. 

My mission is to help others revisit their “home” within by holistic health coaching and creating nurturing practices that allow the messages of the body and soul to come through. This begins the transformation into doing the work that creates balance and a framework for holistic living.

Honoring the body, mind and soul (home) through silence, movement, awareness, self-inquiry, self-love and sacred devotion along with the healing modalities of mindfulness, meditation, yoga, reiki, sound healing and nutrition with the emphasis on TCM dietary and Ayurvedic practices are the practices I use to help myself and others.

It can be intimidating to start something new or to create new habits. I’ll be here to guide you along the way. Together we will discover and create practices that aid in your journey for balance.

As our bodies change we need to change ways in supporting ourselves.

Having an open mind and a motivation to explore new ways will help you during this part of your process.

Life is a gift and when we can be and feel our best self we have a more meaningful life.

As you learn to be present with yourself and your journey, we will explore ways of creating direction for clarity and purpose as you connect to your inner wisdom.
