Devotion: a state of being devoted; giving time and attention.
When we honor and are devoted to our bodies (just as they are) we send a signals to our heart and cells of self-compassion and acceptance. This is a powerful part of wellness. From the thoughts we have to the foods we eat, it is all being accounted for. How we treat ourselves now creates our future selves.
In this sensitive world it is common for us to pick up on different energies from others. It’s important that we maintain balance and in doing so we need to have practices that help to bring us in alignment with this. For me devotion is very important in my health. Being devoted to my mental and physical health is a lifelong practice. What I choose each day is a representation of my future self from the thoughts I think, the words I say, what I digest both from food and from others (energies, emotions, words, actions, etc).
In my upcoming workshop/mini spa-like retreat, Devotion on 2/13/22, I share my practices of breath-work, beauty rituals, meditation, mindful movements and yin yoga. At the end of our retreat you will bask in a sound bath for sound healing and to integrate our practices. A beautiful downloadable workbook is included and will help guide you through our retreat with our beauty rituals, recipes and journaling pages to go deeper in your practices.
Having personal practices that you do daily lets your body know that you honor it and love it. Each cell is listening to how we treat ourselves and it is important that we thrive on all levels to honor the life we have.
