Sound healing has been around for many years, used by various cultures for centuries.
Sound healing involves using sound vibrations to relax your mind and body. It can be very therapeutic and can take on many different forms from music, various instruments and voice. Studies show the therapeutic effects of music and sound therapy.
Sound practitioners may also use instruments like singing bowls, tuning forks and gongs.
Everything is energy. Everything vibrates at different frequencies. When there are blocks or stagnation in the body and mind one may feel a lack of harmony in the body and mind. Sound healing helps to attune our bodies and our space to a more optimal frequency, it can reduce stress, clear blockages, promote relaxation and balance our body’s energy centers. Sound Healing is an effective tool for boosting the mind, body and soul.
Vibrations are especially useful for healing the body. Our bodies are made up of 75% water, and water is a great conductor for sound vibration. When vibrations travel through the body, it promotes circulation and energy flow. The frequency of the sound synchronizes with our brainwaves and activates the relaxation response in the body.
Group Sessions with Rachel include a Guided Meditation and Sound Bath: An Inner Journey to Peace.
Sound Bath
A Sound Bath is a meditative experience where those in attendance are “bathed” in sound waves. The sounds introduced during a Sound Bath are an invitation into a deeper state of consciousness, an opportunity to unplug from the external world and to gain perspective on your inner state. The goal of the experience is to invite deep rest and relaxation, self-inquiry and self-discovery.
Rachel’s Sound Bath sessions utilize a combination of wind chimes and bowls made of quartz crystal, a wind gong, shakers, bells and other instruments.
Private sessions with Rachel are customized to each client and may include Reiki, Tuning Forks, Meditation and a Sound Bath depending on the session selected.
Reiki
Reiki is hands-on natural healing using the universal life force energy. The term comes from the Japanese words “rei,” meaning universal, and “ki,” which means vital life force energy that flows through all living things. During a reiki session, the practitioner places their hands either directly on or just above you to bring about healing by stimulating your body’s natural healing abilities using the universal life force energy.
Tuning Forks
Tuning forks have healing powers of their own. Calibrated tuning forks can be held to specific parts of the body to send vibrations that release tension and open blocked energy channels. This form of sound healing is good for emotional balance and pain relief.
Sound Healing, Reiki and sessions by Rachel Gonzalez do not guarantee healing and are not intended to replace any doctor-approved treatment plan.
